What is Instagram Stories and How It Works?

Instagram explains Stories as a thing that provides you with the choice to "share all the moments of a day". The Instagram Story feature allows you to share photos and videos, and they showed up in a "slideshow format", which means a reel, like Snapchat. These photos and videos are only visible for twenty-four hours.

How do Instagram Stories Work?

Posting
Click the camera button at the top left of your screen or swipe right anywhere from your Instagram Feed. Then, touch or long-press the record button at the bottom to take a photo or video.
Each way, once finished, tap the doodle, text, or sticker icons to include effects. Stickers can also be utilised to add location information, polls and music.
Once you end editing, you can save your work to your device or tap the circle image to share it to your story. Photos and videos you share to Instagram Stories disappear from your profile after 24 hours.

When you post a photo or video to the Instagram Story, it shows on your profile with a colourful ring appear to your profile picture, and people can tap it to view your Story. Instagram Stories which are shared publicly can also show under the Search & Explore tabs.
